Add a Course in Manager
- Navigate to Activities and select Courses
- Select the "+" button to create a new course
- In the course format menu select Alchemy Creator
- Fill in ALL required fields (indicated by an asterisk*)
- The course code must be alphanumeric
- The file type uploaded must be a ".sistem" file
- Select Add.
View the Course in Player
- From the Activities tab in Player, click the Download icon
- The pop-up box will search for new courses, once the Sync Status is complete, select Next
- Click the blue arrows next to the course(s) that you need in the Download Courses window, or select Download All
- A full status bar with a green check next to the selected course indicates the course has been successfully downloaded
- The newly downloaded course(s) will now be available in the Activities tab in Player
- The newly downloaded course(s) will now be available in the Activities tab in Player
View the Course in Playbook
- Sync the Playbook app with Manager.
- Navigate to Courses in Playbook.
- From here, find and select your course.
- It will give the option to Preview course or Train user
- If you select Train user, it will take you to the Choose user page where you will select the user who will take the course for credit
- Previewing a course will not create a transcript, and will not be recorded in Manager
Additional Information
- Create a new course parent is the default selection that should almost always be selected. The exception is if this course should be a Child to an existing course (for example, a language translation) then select “Link to existing course parent”. - Estimated duration is the time that is displayed in Player when choosing activities. It typically includes 2 remediations and the Lightening Round/Game Show in the calculation.
- Passing Score is defaulted to 80% when creating a Creator course. All Alchemy courses have a passing score of 100%.
- Course code is specific to each course created and cannot be edited. This must be alphanumeric and contain no spaces.
- Attach a file – Creator files (.sistem) can be played in both eLearning and Player, and by default both are selected.
