Note: SCORM Content is designed for eLearning, and there are several SCORM authoring tools that work well with Alchemy’s eLearning website. This includes the AICC format that LinkedIn Learning uses. To see if your SCORM tool works with Alchemy’s eLearning platform, review the requirements below and use cloud.scorm.com to test your final product. Most SCORM authoring tools free trial periods of 30 days or more, and Alchemy recommends using a trial version to test out a tool before making a financial commitment.

Alchemy supports eLearning content that follows these standards:
- SCORM 2004, 1st – 4th Editions
- SCORM 1.2
- AICC 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0
Standard publish settings:
- SCORM 2004, 3rd Edition
- Determined passing designation by
- Viewing all slides, or
- Passing any associated quizzes
- Player properties:
- Exit Button - On
- Course Resume - On
- LMS Reporting: Complete / Incomplete
- Format: HTML5
- Adobe will discontinue Flash in 2020
- Zipped file
Alternative publish settings:
- LMS Reporting
- Instead of Complete / Incomplete, try Pass / Fail, Completed / Failed, etc
- SCORM Settings
- SCORM 1.2 (try this with 3rd party content)
What to avoid:
- Flash
- Zipped files larger than 512 MB
- Lengthy videos (split into smaller sections)
How to test for compliance:
- Use SCORM Cloud
- Navigate to https://cloud.scorm.com/
- Obtain a free login
- Upload the zipped SCORM file to test your content
- Run in Manager with a test user:
- Does it open and function as expected?
- Does the Exit feature work?
- Does the Resume feature work?
- Does a fail result in an In Progress?
- Does a pass result in a Complete?
