Note: Access levels are an important feature of the Intertek Alchemy platform. A user must be granted access in Manager in order to login to Playbook, Coach, and/or Manager. Different levels of access are assigned to allow for visibility to groups, reporting, as well as making changes in the User Listing or Activities.
Platinum and Diamond Admins have the ability to adjust access levels. For information on this, see Manager: Users > Adding and Promoting/Demoting Users (For Platinum Admins)

What are the levels of access in Manager?
- Diamond Admin: This is the highest client‐level access available. This level of access enables administrators to lock and restrict Company Specific Categories in their company’s Manager site. This person will also automatically have visibility to all the company’s worksites, groups and users in Manager, in addition to all the options available with Customer Admin, as well as editing Learning Plans (even if restricted). This role also automatically inherits the Category Editor and Creator Admin roles (See Add On Roles below for more information). If available to your company, Alchemy recommends that this access be limited to one administrator per organization.
- Platinum (Customer Admin): This level of access enables administrators to merge duplicate records and promote / demote admins, update and edit Learning Plans (even if restricted), in addition to all the options available with Gold (Supervisor Developer). Alchemy recommends that this access be limited to a small number of administrators in an organization.
- Gold (Supervisor Developer or SupDev): This is the typical administrative level of access. Alchemy strongly recommends that at least one individual per facility have Gold (SupDev) access. A Training Manager is typically designated with Gold (SupDev) access as they are responsible for managing, scheduling, and creating employee training content throughout the year; however, it is common for any manager with reporting and content creation needs (Plant, Safety, QA, Environmental, Maintenance, etc) to have this level of access.
- Silver (Supervisor Developer L1 or SupDev L1): This level offers mid-level access to Manager and is best for admins that need to run Reports and manage Learning Plans, but who do not need to add or modify users (see Table). An admin at this level needing more editing capability should be designated as Gold (SupDev), while an admin needing less capability should be designated as a Monitor.
- Copper (Monitor): This level offers read-only access to User records and reports.
- Facilitator: This level refers to Users that have facilitated training sessions. Facilitators have no administrative access to Manager. If the Facilitator is also a Learner, they will have access to eLearning only.
- Learner: This level is for eLearning access only and is given to everyone automatically. This personal login is for those employees that need to take training online. It only allows employees to view eLearning courses and personal transcript history.
Add-on Roles
Note: Add-on roles must be paired with a role above that allows Manager Access
- Coach: This level does not grant access to Manager, only to the Coach app. Anyone who will need access to the app must have this selected, regardless of the Manager Access.
- Category Editor: This gives the administrator access to add/edit/delete a custom-made Course Category in Manager. Diamond Admins are automatically given this access.
- Creator Admin: This role gives access to import Alchemy courses in Creator for editing purposes. Creator will verify the user’s Manager login information before allowing the download of courses.
- Playbook Admin: This level does not grant access to Manager, only to the Playbook app. Anyone who will need access to the app must have this selected, regardless of the Manager Access.
- Qualification Admin: This role will allow the administrator to provisionally qualify a user for a Job Qualification.
NOTE: Account access solely depends on your organization’s needs. Unless notified by your organization, Alchemy does not limit access to any users that request it.
