Player 7: Training > Switch out a Remote

Note: If a user is having issues with a remote before or during a training session, including if the battery is dying, the best course of action is to switch it out. Mid-session, remotes can be switched out on a Question and Answer screen.

Switch Out a Remote During a Training Session

1. Choose another remote (not already in use)
2. From the Question and Answer screen, click the Manage Remotes icon
   • The Manage Remotes window will open (see step 3)
3. Select the name of the user whose remote is not working, then click the Change button
4. Have the user pick up the new remote, then press and hold the registration button
5. Wait for the screen to indicate that the new remote has been assigned  
6. Close registered remotes windows to continue with the activity

Switch out a Remote Before a Training Session

1. In Player, highlight the user whose remote needs to be switched from the Enrolled Users section
2. Remove the user
3. Highlight the user from the list of available users
4. Give them a new remote, and have them register themselves
5. The user will appear again in the Enrolled Users section, with a different remote number
