Manager: Reports > Smart Report Options Overview

Smart Reports are useful in helping you customize your training data to fit your needs. To make it easier to work with your data, Smart Reports come with a filter and column panel that lets you manage your information in a user-friendly way. By using filters, you can view specific results that are relevant to you. The best part is, you can save your filters and column changes to use later on. Keep in mind that the options available may vary depending on the report you are using.

Note: The training record in these reports do not reflect data in real-time due to the data warehouse that is used to report on them. Data warehouses like this report on large datasets, very quickly. The tradeoff for the fast performance of reports is that it can take some time to groom the data to be optimized for speed. 

Report Settings

To expand the setting options, select the disclosure triangle to the right of FILTER or COLUMN. To close the Report Setting Panel, click on the X

Filters Options

Adjust the filters by selecting or de-selecting the boxes and/or choosing from the menus. For detailed instruction on filters for each report type, see Learning Plan Progress Report or Training Records Report.

Columns Settings

Adjust the columns visible on the reporting table. To add or remove columns visible in your report, select the check box to the right of the column name To reorder columns, drag and drop the 6-dot icon to the left of the column title For a full list of columns for each report, see Manager: Reports > Training Records Report or Manager: Reports > Learning Plan Progress Report

Save Reports

You can save your Smart Reports to refer back to later on. This is especially useful if you have specefic filters/columns used for different courses, groups, and/or Learning Plans

1. Customize the Smart Report to fit your needs (instructions above)
2. Click SAVE AS NEW REPORT in the Report Settings panel
   
3. Give the report a name, then click SAVE
   • If you do not change the name, it will be automatically saved as the title of the Smart Report and Report_1
     • ex. Learning Plan Progress Report_1

View and change a Saved Report

1. From the Report Settings at the top right corner, click on the drop down arrow and select the report to load

• Click on the pencil icon to edit the name of the Saved Report
• Select the star next to the report name to make it the default report

Download Reports

To download Smart Reports, select the download button at the top right of the table. This will provide the option to download the table as a CSV or XLSX.

Important: downloading large sets of data may take an extended amount of time. Wait until the file has begun downloading before you navigate to another page, as this will cancel the download process.
