- In Manager, navigate to Activities and select Observations
- Select the Create New Observation button to create a new Observation
- Fill in ALL required fields
- Type in a name in the Observation Name text box
- Select the language
- Select the Worksite, multiple worksites can be selected
- If the Observation is meant to align with an existing training requirement, such as an Observation that is already tracked in a separate system, enter an identifier in the External ID text box to relate the Observation to the external training requirement
- Select Save
- The screen will refresh and create a Draft Observation at the bottom of the page
- Select Edit
Properties Tab
- In the Properties tab, edit the Observation parameters as needed
- Select Save
Questions Tab
- Select the Questions tab
- Select the Add New Section
- A section is a tool to help you organize questions
- Type in a name for the section and select Save
- The section will appear on-screen
- The section will appear on-screen
- Select a section to highlight it and click Add New Question
- Select a question type from the drop-down menu and select the Next button
- Note: The question type cannot be edited once it has been chosen
- Type in a question and answers
- Enter optional instructions, tips, or resources in the Question Notes field. This field should provide additional clarifying information for the Coach who is performing the Observation. It is not a required field, so if you do not have any clarifying notes for the Coach then you can leave the field empty. Select the Save button
- Continue adding sections and questions to build your Observation
Publishing the Observation
- Select the Preview tab to preview the observation
- If ready to publish, return to the Questions tab and select the Publish button
- The screen will refresh showing the observation listed under the Published Observation heading
- The Observation will be available in the Coach application after you Sync the Coach device with Manager
