Using deep linking to open an Alchemy eLearner interface or Alchemy Course is convenient but limited when used alone, as it does not track training records in your external LMS. Deep Linking via Batch Export is a complete integration, it combines deep linking to both launch courses and maintain accurate training records within your LMS. For a more effective integration, Alchemy Training Records Export is essential. The process can involve several departments in your organization, refer to our Batch Export article which provides details for setting this up with your technical team.
For a foundational overview of deep linking and how to use with a landing page or Alchemy Course, please refer to Big Picture: What is Deep Linking?.

Deep Linking with Batch Export
Using deep linking with Batch Export will both launch courses and maintain accurate training records within your LMS.
How it Works
Training Records export enables the transfer of employee training data from Alchemy Manager to an external LMS system. When deep linked to Alchemy, Users are taken from your external LMS to Alchemy for course completion. Once the batch export is run, the training records will transfer that training data back to your external LMS.
Key Takeaway: Training completion in your external LMS may not be reflected until the Training records (Batch Export) runs, typically daily.
Demonstrated by the table below, Users are linked from Customer LMS Training Library to Alchemy Learner eLearning interface (or Customer LMS Admin Interface to Alchemy Admin Interface). The User then completes the Alchemy training. Alchemy training records are then imported back to the Customer LMS through the Alchemy Training records (batch) export.
Note: Using SSO helps streamline this process as it allows you Users to launch Alchemy (course or landing page) without requiring them to re-log into Alchemy.
Considerations
-
Each Alchemy course will require a course "shell" course in the external LMS.
- A unique shell/URL is required for each language.
- As Alchemy released new courses, they will need to be added to the external LMS, if applicable.
- Learning is not automatically navigated back to the external LMS after course is launched.
- Courses must be launched in an external browser. Ensure your internal IT department allows for this.
- Training completion in your external LMS may not be reflected until the Training Records (Batch Export) runs, typically daily.
