Alchemy Creator has import and translation features that require authentication. We have noted that some customers are encountering authentication issues when attempting to use the translation or course import tool in Alchemy Creator. To mitigate this, Alchemy has implemented a secondary authentication method for customers who face issues with Webview2, which is associated with Microsoft products. This method, known as the short-lived token, is designed to assist those experiencing these specific issues.
To use this feature, you must be a Creator Admin and have at minimum Copper Worksite Admin Access in Manager. If additional assistance is needed, contact Alchemy Support or your Account Manager.
Note: This feature requires action from your Alchemy Manager site to Creator. There is a 15-minute transaction window for this feature. Having both components open is recommended.
Accessing the Short-Lived Token from Manager
- Log into Manager, and navigate to 'My Profile'.
- Scroll to the bottom of the webpage and click on Generate Token Key.
- After selecting Generate Token Key, a display box will appear with your unique token key. This token key is only valid for 15-minutes after it is generated. Treat this token like a password and do not share it.
- When you are ready to use your token, click Copy Token Key.
- When you are ready to use your token, click Copy Token Key.
Paste the Short-Lived Token from Manager into Creator
- In Microsoft PowerPoint, locate the Alchemy Creator tab, click on Import, then click Download.
- Type in your Manager URL, then click on the blue 'Authenticate using token key instead' link.
- Note: Your URL will likely be; sistemlms.com/yourcompanyname. If that does not work or if you do not have your Manager URL information, please contact your company Administrator, Alchemy Support, or your Account Manager.

- Using the token key generated from Alchemy Manager, click Paste Key to easily deposit your short-lived token. Once pasted into the field as shown below, click Submit.
Reminder: This key is valid for 15-minutes after retrieval. If your token expires, you can go back to Manager and generate a new token. This process will only require completion once unless you uninstall Creator or sign out from your Manager credential within Creator.
- After a successful token submission, a success dialogue will appear on the screen. You may now click on Import and Translate to use these features.
If you encounter a message stating that authentication failed, check the following items:
- Ensure you have connected to the internet.
- Ensure that your token is still valid/not expired. They are valid for 15-minutes after they are first generated.
- Ensure that your Manager URL is typed correctly in the required field.
- Ensure that your token does not have mistypes or additional characters accidentally added during the copy/paste steps.
