This article features important information to help you get started with the Intertek Mobile App's courses and qualifications, formerly known as Playbook. It reviews its key features, terminology, and clarifies the apps necessary credentials.
Note: Currently, job qualifications and courses can be completed in the Intertek Alchemy Mobile App, and legacy Playbook and Coach apps.
What are Courses and Qualifications in the Intertek Alchemy app?
Intertek Alchemy enables worksites to create, deliver, and track job specific training right on the production floor. Did an employee call in sick? No problem! Playbook will help supervisors see who on the floor is qualified to safely complete that employee's duties. Need to create content specific to your organizational needs? No problem! The app can capture institutional knowledge from long-time employees, and train new hire on site specific practices.
Key Features
Below is a list of important features for Courses and Qualifications in the app that allow you to train and check to see who is qualified for specific tasks.
Find a Qualified Employee
If there is an employee out sick, and you need to find someone to fulfill their job role right away, you can search by qualification. If none of the qualified users are available, you can see who is In progress and have them take the remaining course(s) required to complete their qualification. These courses can be taken directly from Playbook.
By default, when you open a Job qualification, it will show you which users can complete the task.
You can also search by employee to see if a specific user is qualified to complete a task, or to see their progress.
Complete a Course
Courses can be viewed by clicking on the Courses tab in the navigation page of Playbook. Users can take a course in Playbook to count towards an assigned Job qualification, or take a course that has not been assigned. Courses can also be previewed in Playbook without creating a training record.
Learn more by visiting the article How to View Courses in Playbook.
Create a Course
If there is something you need an employee to be trained on, but there is no course for it, you can quickly create one right from the Playbook app. Courses can include video, photos, text, documents and questions to check employee's knowledge on the training.

Job Qualifications
Use Job qualifications to track which employees are qualified to complete a specific job task. Job qualifications are created in Manager, and can be tracked directly from Playbook or in Manager. They can be set to expire after a certain time if it is necessary for the users to retrain on that job task. The numbers on the green shields represent the number of users qualified for that job. Training activities taken in Coach, Player and eLearning can also count towards a job qualification.
Users become qualified by completing the activities required in the job qualification. Training assigned can be completed directly from the Playbook application.
