Dynamic Groups is a tool that works in conjunction with HR integration. As users are added, deleted or edited within the HR system, they are communicated through the HR integration feed to Manager. Alongside those changes include Dynamic Groups with membership rules associated with those users.
Visibility and Editing Credentials
To edit this feature, you must be a Silver or higher administrator, have Dynamic Group Editor add-on. An administrator must have worksite and group supervisory access to create a dynamic group for the respective worksites and groups. Editing Precondition Filters
The Precondition Filter currently filters for Date of Hire only.
- To edit precondition filters, select the desired dynamic group from the group listing.
- Scroll to the Membership Rules section of the group, and select
.
- The Precondition Filter will be located at the top of the membership rules, from here you can:
- Change the Dates of Hire by selecting the
EDIT icon.
- Use the RESET icon to restart your filter option and dates.
- Delete entirely by selecting the
icon.
- Change the Dates of Hire by selecting the
Editing Membership Rules
- To edit membership rules, select the desired dynamic group from the group listing.
- Scroll to the Membership Rules section of the group, and select
.
- Select the
EDIT icon within the rule category you want to edit.

Select or deselect the subgroups as appropriate, then select APPLY.
- The options available for selection and deselection are filtered. To view additional subgroups move the Show all results toggle to the ON position. For more information, visit the Create a Dynamic Group article and review the Drill Down Feature section.

- When redirected to the membership window, select SAVE.
- The following message with appear once the membership rules have been saved:

In dynamic groups, as membership rules are edited, you will see membership quantities change accordingly. To view the specific members of that group, select the blue arrow next to the members.
Deleting Membership Rules
- To delete membership rules, select the desired dynamic group from the group listing.
- Scroll to the Membership Rules section of the group, and select

icon next the rule category you want to delete.
- When redirected to the membership window, select SAVE.

Deleting a Dynamic Group
Note: Deleting a group is permanent and can impact Learning Plans that are subscribed to that group. We recommend referencing the group subscriptions within the group properties prior to deleting it. - To delete a dynamic group, select the desired dynamic group from the group listing.
- Locate and select the DELETE icon located at the bottom of the group properties.
