Common Manager Features

Intertek Alchemy's central center is Manager. It houses the execution of certain functions on a regular basis. Whether managing users, building and assigning training activities, or performing searches, this article is a how-to for navigating through common features you will encounter throughout Manager. 

 

Designating Date and Time

The process of assigning certain dates and times in Manager is comparable.  There are two formats to designate dates within Manager. The instructions below detail how to set dates, and times (when applicable). 

Using the Calendar Format

  1. Click the Calendar Icon within the date field.
  2. Select the date (A) by clicking on the desired day.
    • Note: You can select from various months and years by using the arrows within the date window. 
  3. Select the time (B) by moving the blue dial to desired hour then minute.
    • Not all features will include a time.

Using the Date Format

  1. Click inside the Date Field to enable this function. 
  2. Make your selections by using the numeric keys and/or the arrow keys on your device.
    • Meridian designation is indicated by aa. 
  3. When you have entered the information, click out of the Date Field.

Search Fields and Filters

The ability to perform narrowed searches within Manager fields exists with the use of the search drop-down and search filter options. Below you will find instructions on how to narrow your searches in Manager using these two features. 

Using the Search Bar

  1. Locate the search bar, and in the full or partial search information then Enter. The listing will update with your search criteria.
  2. Search parameters include;
    • First Name and Last Name
    • User ID
    • Position Title
    • Worksite
    • Badge Number/Barcode ID
      Note: Not all search parameters are available in all search bars within Manager

Using the Search Drop-down

  1. Locate the search bar dropdown.
    • By default, searches will include all fields.
  2. Click on the blue triangle next to ALL.
  3. Select which field criteria to search. 
    • Search criteria options vary.
  4. Input the information in the Search bar, then Enter. 
  5. The search list will refresh based on the criteria and information entered. 
  6. To reset this filter, repeat steps 1-2, and select Search All Fields.

Using the Search Filter

  1. Locate and select the Filter option.
  2. Make your selections by selecting the checkboxes or clicking on the blue arrows, then click APPLY.
    • Filter selections will vary.  
    • When using the blue arrows, sub-filters will appear. Select the desired sub-filters, then select APPLY. 
  3. The search list will refresh based on the criteria and information entered.
  4. To reset this filter, repeat step 1 - 2, select RESET, then APPLY. The search list will refresh to the default settings.

Adding Features 

Whether you need to add users, groups, activities or learning plans, Manager offers a simple way to recognize how to an item in Manager. To add additional items to Manager, follow the steps below. 

  1. Navigate through the Manager menu. 
  2. To add an item within the various sections of Manager, select the MGR_Blue Add Button_Use for all.png button on the bottom right side of the screen.

  3. Enter the required information based on the Manager component you are adding. 
    • Prompts and details are dependent on the Manager feature you are adding. 

Show Selected Feature

Manager has the functionality to select multiple records simultaneously for the purpose of adding them to a Manager feature. The steps below provide a how-to for selecting multiple records, review your list of records and reset. 

  1. Upon logging into Manager, the Show Selected feature will appear grey.

  2. Begin by clicking on the checkbox next to the record from the listing to enable this feature.

  3. As additional checkboxes are selected, the Show Selected number will increase to reflect the records selected.

  4. To view only the selected records, click on Show Selected, and the listing will refresh to list only the selected records. 
    • To reset, select Show All, and the listing will refresh to the default settings.
