This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to translate previously translated courses when new content is added to the parent course. Text will be translated in Playbook. Media added to the course, such as documents, videos, and images will need to be translated prior to upload.
Note: Both options give you the ability to use the auto translate feature or manual translate feature.
Option 1
- Select the Playbook Course you would like to Edit.
- At the top-center of your screen, select the Parent Language in the dropdown selection, then select ADD MORE.
- After new content is added, you will see an orange warning by the auto translate icon informing you that elements for translation may be missing. Click on the TRANSLATE ICON.
- For documents, missing translations will change from blue to orange with a 'No file added' warning message.
- An add Translations messaging will appear. Make your selection.
- Both options will display a new window. Once your text has been translated to your desire, click Apply.
- Manual Translate will require the you to type in the translations.
- Auto Translate will display the auto translated text.
- Repeat steps 3-4 for every component of the new content: Headline and Body Text or Question and Answers.
Option 2
- Select the Playbook Course you would like to Edit.
- At the top-center of your screen, select the Parent Language in the dropdown selection, then select ADD MORE.
- After new content is added, click NEXT.
- A successful save will produce a green ribbon message at the bottom-center of the screen.

- Navigate to the top, select the Language dropdown. You will see an orange warning by the other language(s), informing you that elements for translation may be missing.
- Select a language to begin your translations.
- Find the new content added to the Parent Language by finding the orange warning within the course. Click on the edit pencil.
- Click on the translate icon to begin translation.
- An add Translations messaging will appear. Make your selection.
- Both options will display a new window. Once your text has been translated to your desire, click Apply.
- Manual Translate will require the you to type in the translations.
- Auto Translate will display the auto translated text. g with the auto translated versions.
- Repeat steps 3-4 for every component of the new content: Headline and Body Text or Question and Answers.
