Note: Follow Up Learning Plans allow you to attach one Learning Plan to another that will kick off upon completion of the first. This is helpful if you would like to assign Observations or further training activities after users have successfully completed foundation training activities.
Guidelines
- Follow Up Learning Plans MUST be a Relative Date Learning Plan
- When a user completes the initial Learning Plan, Manager automatically subscribes the Follow Up to that User
- The initial Learning Plan can only have one Follow Up
- Copy the initial Learning Plan to use the same list of activities more than once
- Follow Up Learning Plans can be assigned multiple times
Best Practices
- Create the 2nd Learning Plan in the series first
- Use Automatic Subscriptions
- Take time to plan the sequence of learning events, for example:
- Learning Plan A: Group Based or eLearning Courses
- Learning Plan B: Observations in Coach as the Follow Up
Attach a Follow-up Learning Plan
- Create a Relative Date Learning Plan that will be the follow up (if it is not already created)
- See Manager: Activities > Relative Date Learning Plans for more information
- From the Learning Plans menu, select the Learning Plan that needs the follow-up
- Toggle the button to turn on Follow-up Learning Plan
- Select the Relative Date Learning Plan
- Click APPLY
- SAVE the updates to the Learning Plan
If you have not already created the Learning Plan that requires the follow up, see Create a New Fixed Date Learning Plan or Create a New Relative Date Learning Plan to learn more.
