Note: Learner Mode minimizes the shared contact points in the workplace, by letting employees use their own supported device, while maximizing training deployment. Upon signing in, the user simply launches whichever assigned course they wish to take.
This is a step-by-step guide to using Alchemy Playbook in “Learner Mode”. Learner Mode has four simple steps: setting up, signing in, taking courses, and logging out. See how to do these steps below.
Setting Up and Signing In

- Open the Playbook app and enter your customer name
- The customer name is directly after “sistemlms.com/” on the company Alchemy Manager site
- The customer name is directly after “sistemlms.com/” on the company Alchemy Manager site
- Enter the same username and password used when signing in to Manager/eLearning
- Once these steps have been completed for the first time, they will not need to be repeated. On the next sign in, the user will start by selecting their name and entering their PIN.
- Enter a 4-10 digit PIN (this will be used to log in each time)
Taking Courses
Once signed into Playbook, the user will see any courses assigned to them. Courses can be taken in any order, unless instructed otherwise by a supervisor. Courses can be streamed if a good wifi signal exists, or they can be downloaded via the blue download arrow on the right hand side of the course.
- Find the course you wish to take
- Use the search function to find courses quickly
- Press the Play icon
- Once the course has been completed, it will disappear from the Assigned courses list
- A course that has not been completed successfully (In Progress) will remain on the list
- If you plan to take the courses offline, click the download button on the right
Quick Reference View
In addition to seeing the list of assigned activities, learners will have access to a list of courses that can be launched in Quick Reference. This feature allows users to access and review content without being required to playback a course from start to finish. Users will be able to easily scroll through the course to review pertinent information along with videos, images, and PDFs by pressing the corresponding thumbnail. Similar to taking courses offline, the Quick Reference course listing will allow learners to download a course for offline reference.
Note: questions and question answers will not be visible.
Logging Out
Once done with the courses you want to take, simply press on the Sign-out button on the left and it will log you out and you will be back on the user login screen.
