If a user is having issues with a remote before or during a training session, including if the battery is dying, the best course of action is to switch it out. Mid-session, remotes can be switched out on a Question and Answer screen.

Switch Out a Remote During a Training Session
- Choose another remote (not already in use).
- From the Question and Answer screen, click the Manage Remotes icon.
- The Manage Remotes window will open (see step 3).
- The Manage Remotes window will open (see step 3).
- Select the name of the user whose remote is not working, then click the Change button.
- Have the user pick up the new remote, then press and hold the registration button.
- Wait for the screen to indicate that the new remote has been assigned.
- Close registered remotes windows to continue with the activity.

- In Player, highlight the user whose remote needs to be switched from the Enrolled Users section.
- Remove the user.
- Highlight the user from the list of available users.
- Give them a new remote, and have them register themselves.
- The user will appear again in the Enrolled Users section, with a different remote number.
