Creator is a PowerPoint plugin that allows you to create, customize, and translate custom courses into the Alchemy format. Learn more about how to use Creator below.
Creating a Course
To create a new course, follow the steps below.
Build Content
- In a new PowerPoint presentation, select the Alchemy Creator tab.
- Select Point Slide and use the slide properties panel to include text, pictures, hyperlinks, audio, etc.

Add Videos
- From the Creator ribbon, select Video Slide.
- Locate the video saved on your device.
- (Optional) Click Captions to add captions manually.
Add Questions
- From the Creator ribbon, select Question Slide.
- In the properties panel, click Options to choose your question type.
- Type your question and answer options, and indicate the correct answer.

Create Remediation Questions
- From the Creator ribbon, select Remediation Question.
- Two blank slides will pop up:
- Point Slide: to review the key topics related to the previous question.
- Question Slide: to create a new question.

Include Game Show Questions
- From the Creator ribbon, select Game Show Question.
- Insert a picture into your question.
- Type your question and indicate the correct answer.
Export
- Save the PowerPoint as a .PPTX file locally.
- Click Export, then Export a Course.
- Fill out the Course Settings (title, description, competencies, language).
- Click Export and save the .SISTEM file locally.

Add to Manager
To upload your course in Alchemy Manager, follow the steps below:
- Access your Manager website and navigate to Courses.
- Click the plus sign
and select Alchemy Creator.
- Add the course name, choose the worksite, and customize the duration and passing score.
- Copy and paste the course title to use as the course code.
- Upload your saved .SISTEM file.
- Click SAVE.

How to Convert Existing PowerPoint Presentations to a Creator Course
When converting your existing presentations into a Creator course, you have two different options. The first option is to keep your presentation as is. This will mimic a PowerPoint presentation that can be played in eLearning and Player. The second option is to edit the presentation and add questions, remediation questions, and game show questions. This will mimic an Alchemy course that can be played in eLearning and Player. To convert your existing PowerPoint presentation into Alchemy format, please click here.
How to Customize Alchemy Courses
If you want to edit Alchemy content to suit the needs of your worksite, import the Alchemy course into Creator. This will give you the ability to translate to different languages, include pictures of your worksite, and change the questions, among other edits. How to Translate an Existing Course
If there are several languages spoken at your worksite, the Translate tool in Alchemy Creator will be useful in creating training content. There are over 80 languages to choose from, including right-to-left languages such as Arabic. Alchemy Creator uses Google Translate, and it is always recommended to have a native speaker of the translated language check the course before using it for training.
